Manchester United’s David de Gea has more clean sheets this season than any other goalkeeper in Europe’s top five leagues this season, making him the ideal Draft Fantasy selection between the sticks.

The Spaniard, who is heralded by many as the best shot stopper in the world right now, has been in fine form once again for Jose Mourinho’s side this term, having finished 14 matches following a complete opposition shut out.

Set to be offered a new contract at Old Trafford, as reported by the Telegraph, the 27-year-old has more clean sheets than any of his rivals across the continent this term, bettering Barcelona’s Marc-Andre ter Stegen (13), Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak (12) and Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois (12).

De Gea’s latest appearance saw him successfully prevent high flying Premier League opponents Burnley from scoring, as the Red Devils recorded a 1-0 victory over the Clarets. This was his fourth clean sheet in as many Premier League matches.

The Manchester United ‘Number 1’ is currently the highest scoring goalkeeper in Draft Fantasy. Having made 79 saves in 24 appearances, to date, he was returned a total of 127 points – 28 more than his closest rival, Manchester City’s Ederson.
