Chelsea have now confirmed that their summer hunt for a striker has come to an end as they secured the £58 million signing of Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
The Spaniard will lead the Chelsea line next season and as such has become an immediate candidate for an Draft Fantasy Football early round pick.

Here are four reasons why Morata could be a very wise choice to make early on in your Draft Fantasy Football selection if you’re looking to build a strong side:
He was Antonio Conte’s preferred target
That’s according to Guillem Balague. If true, Conte will clearly be looking to build his whole side around the Spaniard and fit with his style of play. That will only bring more goals and assists out of the striker.
His goal to minute ratio was the best in the Real Madrid squad
Morata scored a goal every 89 minutes for the La Liga and Champions League winners with a superb ratio. If he can replicate that in the Premier League, a striker who scores a goal a game would send your Draft Fantasy Football side straight up the league table.
His conversion rate was far higher than Diego Costa’s
27% of Morata’s shots found the back of the net, compared to just 18% of Diego Costa’s. Costa was one of the highest scoring strikers last season, even with his off the field distractions, so this could be an indication of how prolific Morata could be.
At 24 years of age, Morata just keeps getting better
Every season has shown signs of improvement for Morata. After scoring 15 goals from just 14 league starts last season, that could make him a highly profitable pick for your Draft Fantasy Football side.
Competing with the likes of Sergio Aguero and Harry Kane to become the highest scoring striker, Morata has his work cut out but the early indications are looking very positive.
