The two top forward picks in Draft Fantasy Football so far this summer, and two of the top three players overall, Harry Kane and Romelu Lukaku are the men to look out for.

Kane has the advantage, with his average draft position being 2.2, compared to 4.5 for Lukaku. Both were amongst the top scorers last season as Kane notched up 191 points again narrowly beating Lukaku’s 188.
That would suggest that Lukaku could be the man to go for. Now, in a far superior Manchester United side, he can expect better service and a huge increase in opportunities to come his way.
Having been only three points behind Kane last season, that could make the difference and help him to overtake the England international.
On the other hand, Kane missed eight games through injury, whilst Lukaku missed only one. If the Spurs man can maintain his fitness throughout the season, he should easily out score his opponent.
With a World Cup on the horizon, he may be reluctant to gamble on his fitness, but in the two previous seasons he did miss only four games from a potential 76.
There is also the fact that Lukaku will take some time to settle into his new surroundings.
He is yet to find his feet in pre-season, with just one goal and some unconvincing displays, and that may be a good reason to be cautious about including the powerful Belgian from the off.
A slow start is never a good trait for a player in Draft Fantasy Football, and that was one of Kane’s weaknesses in recent years. Nonetheless, it took him just four games to break his duck in 2016.

There is no doubting that these two players would both be excellent early picks and are likely to be snapped up in the first round. Based on the evidence, and the picks of players so far this summer, Harry Kane could be the safer choice between the two.
