On paper, it is not the most exciting game of the weekend.
A match-up between a team that narrowly avoided relegation last year and a newly-promoted side is never likely to catch the immediate headlines. Nonetheless, it will be an intriguing encounter on Saturday.
Huddersfield Town have made an assured start to their first ever season in the Premier League and, despite failing to win in their previous five league outings, David Wagner’s side have adapted well to the new challenge at hand and currently sit just outside the top-half with nine points from their seven games.
They will see Saturday’s trip to the Liberty Stadium as a big opportunity to get back to winning ways, with Paul Clement’s Swansea City languishing in the relegation spots, having claimed just a solitary win so far this season.
Whilst nobody is expecting it to be a classic down in Wales, it has all the hallmarks of a match that could be decided by an individual moment of magic – most likely from Tammy Abraham or Steve Mounie.
But do either of these have any Draft Fantasy worth ahead of the weekend?
For the hosts, England Under-21 striker Abraham has been one of their stand-out players in a troublesome start to the campaign, finding the back of the net twice in seven appearances.
Whilst the return of Wilfried Bony to the club has left a certain amount of pressure and expectations on the Ivorian’s shoulders, Abraham has continued to work hard at the front of Clement’s forward line and has been a continuous threat, always looking to dart in-behind a sleeping back-line.
His current Draft Fantasy points tally (24) won’t set the world alight just yet but, if it is a short-term fix you are looking for, the youngster could be a good bet to find the net in front of his home crowd.
He will arrive at the Liberty with confidence flowing through his veins after a good international break with the Under-21 side, scoring for Aidy Boothroyd’s side in their victory over rivals Scotland last weekend, and he will have an eye for goal that could cause the Terriers some problems in the box.
Yet, Wagner’s side could have their own potent threat in front of goal on Saturday, with star man Steve Mounie in-line for a return to action after missing the past three games through a foot injury.
The 22-year-old club-record summer signing from Montpellier made quite the impression in his first few top-flight appearances, scoring twice on the opening day at Crystal Palace as his side started with a bang.
In his four matches so far this season he has earned 18 Draft Fantasy points, and anything that Huddersfield were producing in and around the final third almost certainly had Mounie playing a vital role in it somewhere.
Given the chance, he will want to return to this sort of form straight away.
The Swans have struggled at home so far this season too, falling to defeat in three consecutive games and conceding seven in the process, and Mounie could be well-equipped to fill his boots.
Both teams will see Saturday as a winnable game – and one that they do not want to lose – and it could all come down to a moment of inspiration to define the outcome of a cagey and tight affair.
Neither player are likely to be a long-term option as far as Draft Fantasy is concerned but, if the Premier League’s big point-scoring forwards are already selected, you could earn some priceless points with these two.
