Crystal Palace hired Sam Allardyce to save them from relegation last season, it worked, but Big Sam has now left and in his place stands Frank De Boer. Frank De Boer achieved great success when managing Ajax but his time at Inter Milan was nothing short of disastrous so it’ll be intriguing to see how he adapts to the Premier League and how his squad shapes up and affects our draft leagues.   It’s time to talk about the reigning Premier League Champions, Chelsea. Antonio Conte turned a shambolic Mourinho team that not only finished 10th in the 15/16 season but also screwed over all of us who drafted Chelsea players that season (Hazard was the number 1 pick for us that season) and turned them into Premier League champions. Burnley, one of last year’s surprise packages in the Premier League? Many had Burnley pencilled in for relegation and I’m not at all surprised if that’s how they’re seen again this season, especially after the departure of Michael Keane to Everton and the, so far, uninspiring signings this summer. Everyone’s favourite 2nd team in the Premier League (maybe barring the Southampton Fans), Bournemouth are looking to further cement their spot as Premier League mainstays. Last season’s 9th place, with only a -5 GD stopping them from overtaking Southampton in the final league standings. Their recent signings are certainly showing intent, with almost £30mil spent to date, but us draft managers don’t care about budgets or net spends etc.… it’s all about the players and how they perform, so let’s see where Bournemouth’s strengths lay.
