The Premier League has another international break on the horizon and this week is a great opportunity to put yourself in a strong position in Draft Fantasy heading into that.
There are a number of big players returning from injury and finding their form, which means that trading could be crucial during the coming weeks. Eden Hazard and Alexis Sanchez complicate matters as they are both top Draft Fantasy options when fully-fit.
Here are three you should start and three you should drop this weekend:
Three to start
Alvaro Morata
There are a number of great strikers in the Premier League this season and it is difficult to judge which one will go on to win the golden boot.
Alvaro Morata had a lot of doubters when he signed for Chelsea, but he has been excellent so far and has already got six Premier League goals.
This might not be the week to get him in as the London outfit play Manchester City, but he has some attractive fixtures on the horizon. The Spaniard is one to try and get into your team.
Nacho Monreal
This is one for those playing in leagues with the Kante rule activated. The Spaniard has scored 14 points through that and an additional six bonus points and currently sits in the top ten scoring defenders with 41 points.
Arsenal have some winnable matches coming up starting with Brighton at home this weekend. It could be a good differential play to acquire Monreal.
Any Manchester United attacker
They are coming up against bottom-placed Crystal Palace, who conceded five goals against Manchester City last weekend and have yet to secure a point this season.
United look very good right now after easing past Crystal Palace during the week. They should be comfortable winners this weekend and their attackers are all good Draft Fantasy options.
Three to drop
Huddersfield defenders
They have been impressive since their promotion and have kept four clean sheets in the Premier League, but they are just about to embark on a tough run of fixtures.
The Terriers have Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool in their next four matches. At the moment, their defenders have value, so it might be worth offering them out on trades before the tide turns.
Roberto Firmino
The Brazilian started the season in great form, but he hasn’t looked as threatening in recent weeks.
He hasn’t contributed a goal or an assist since August and Liverpool have a tough fixture this weekend against a well-organised Newcastle United team. Sadio Mane is set to return and this could be the time to get rid of Firmino.
Wayne Rooney
After opening the season with goals in back-to-back fixtures, Rooney has gone off the boil and could find himself out of the Everton team before too long.
Oumar Niasse bagged a brace last weekend and in an extraordinary turn of events, he could be the team’s first-choice striker before too long. Rooney has 25 points in the game, but it could be a while before he is a viable option again.
