Every season, strikers are the most popular assets in the draft fantasy and every draft fantasy manager will be looking to pounce on the premium strikers available in the game. 2019/20 season saw the same trend with Kane, Aguero, Firmino all being popular options and were amongst the first few picks in most of the draft leagues. But as the season progressed managers who put their trust in some lesser-known options were rewarded better.

Let’s see the top five Premier League forwards in fantasy football this season so far.

  • Jamie Vardy, Leicester City 167 Points

Leicester City frontman Jamie Vardy has had a phenomenal season under Brendan Rodgers having scored 19 goals and assisting 6 goals so far this season making him the highest-scoring FPL forward this season. Vardy, in particular has benefited from Rodger’s style of play scoring regularly which has put Foxes in a commendable position in the league standings. Vardy has put on some scintillating performances this season including an outstanding hat-trick against Southampton in a 9-0 demolition and a brace against rivals Aston Villa just before the PL was suspended.

  • Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Arsenal 152 points

Aubameyang produced yet another consistent season scoring 152 points repaying the faith of draft managers who brought him in and stuck with him throughout the season. Auba also tops the charts for the most bonus points scored in FPL this season having scored a whopping 29 bonus points.

  1. Raul Jimenez, Wolves, 147 points,

Raul Jimenez has had another outstanding FPL season having scored 147 points so far making him the third-highest scoring FPL forward this season. Having started the season slowly with just 2 goals in the first 8 GW’s, Raul picked up form and has consistently delivered ever since, rewarding all the draft managers who persisted with him. Raul has also struck an excellent partnership with former Barcelona winger Adama Traore with the Wolves duo combining for eight Premier League goals this season, more than any other partnership in the competition.

  1. Danny Ings, Southampton, 140 points

Danny Ings has registered 15 goals this season and has scored 140 points surpassing the 11 goals and 139 FPL points he scored in the 2014/15 FPL. Ings has not only scored goals but has also racked up bonus points consistently throughout the season and has the second-highest bonus points tally this season. Ings also has missed just 5 big chances all season – which is the fewest among the top 15 goal scorers in the league.

  1. Marcus Rashford, Manchester United, 137 points

Rashford had an amazing season until a serious injury in January ruled him out for a considerable period. The United striker has scored 14 goals and assisted 5 more goals through the season with goals against Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and Spurs proving to be a big game player. Rashford is one of the players who’ll be benefited by the break and could be fit and firing once the season restarts.

In a season where many big strikers went silent, unpopular picks including the likes of Tammy Abraham, Temmu Pukki proved to be great draft picks with both Pukki (127) and Abraham(131) scoring more than Sergio Aguero(124)  and Harry Kane (104)
