Here, we take a look at the top ten scorers up-front last season to tip you off as to who could be worth a first or second round pick for your side…

Harry Kane – 191 points

The man who should be a priority for your first round pick. Select Kane and you know you will get goals. With a World Cup on the horizon, he is going to be determined to maintain last season’s form and avoid injury to give him an even higher points return.

Romelu Lukaku – 188 points

It could take the Belgian time to adapt to his new surroundings at Old Trafford. However, once settled he should get even better service than at Everton that could see his goal return sky rocket.

Romelu Lukaku

Diego Costa – 171 points

The only one on this list that should definitely be avoided. If he is still a Chelsea player come 1st September, he still won’t feature for Antonio Conte, unless a real injury crisis hits the Blues’ front-line.

Roberto Firmino – 163 points

An intriguing one, as he is expected to remain first choice. With the distraction of the Champions League, he may be rested for more Premier League games, and that could see his points return drop slightly.

Joshua King – 161 points

A surprise high scorer last season and likely to be one that flies under the radar of many of your competitors. He will share the front line with Jermaine Defoe this season, though, which could propel him to new heights or see the duo share their equally prolific points returns.

Joshua King

Sergio Aguero – 143 points

Long one of the most in demand players, his return last season was disappointing. With Gabriel Jesus for competition, Aguero may see his points tally fall even lower next season. Huge potential, but a gamble that could backfire.

Jermaine Defoe – 141 points

Despite his age, moving to Bournemouth will give him a much better platform than he had as part of a woeful Sunderland side. That said, he may have to share the mantle with Josh King.

Jamie Vardy – 137 points

Picked up his game hugely in the second half of the season after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri. If he can maintain that form or return to his form of 2015/16, he could be in a much higher position on this list in 12 months time.

Fernando Llorente – 123 points

The tall Spaniard will lead the line for the Swans again this season and they will be a much stronger outfit under Paul Clement. That said, he will miss the start of the season with a broken arm and could take some time to get firing on all cylinders.

Christian Benteke – 121 points

A regular and consistent scorer. He may not be the kind of player you want to go for with your first round pick, but he is a valuable addition at some point in your draft.
