Tottenham have been on the rise since Mauricio Pochettino replaced Tim Sherwood as manager, but they are currently suffering from poor form and that could have major implications on Draft Fantasy.

During the draft period before the start of the season, Spurs’ players were at the top of a lot of manager’s wish-lists as they have been excellent both in attack and in defence during recent seasons.

However, during the last few weeks, they haven’t been scoring enough points to warrant their position in your squads and it is reaching the time to consider offering them out in trade deals to strengthen your own squad before they lose any more value.

Since the Premier League returned after the most recent international break, Tottenham have played in four league matches and taken only two points.

This has seen them fall into 6th position and they are currently four points outside of the Champions League places.

They will have had ambitions of winning the title this season, but it now looks like another top-four finish will be their ceiling.

There are several players not living up to their Draft Fantasy potential as a result.

Here are three Tottenham players that you should drop…

Harry Kane

As one of the best players in the Premier League, Kane could catch fire at any point, therefore it may be worth hanging on to him.

However, he has scored only 19 points in his last five matches, which works out at less than five points per game.

Considering he is considered as one of the best players to own, he isn’t living up to his billing and it is hurting your team to own him. His name alone is enough to convince a rival manager to trade.

Alvaro Morata looks to be a great own at the time of writing as Chelsea have a kind upcoming schedule. If you own Kane and are able to trade him for the Blues’ striker, you should.

Dele Alli

This season has been one of frustration for Dele Alli, as he has contributed only three goals and three assists in his first 15 Premier League matches.

He took the league by storm after signing for Tottenham from MK Dons and it was inevitable that he would suffer a drop-off at some point.

In Draft Fantasy, he has scored double figures in a game week on only two occasions this season.

If you still own him, you should attempt to bring in a player offering more this season. The England international’s value in the game drops on a weekly basis.

Jan Vertonghen

As the Belgian offers little in terms of attacking potential, his value is at an all-time low in Draft Fantasy.

In recent seasons, Tottenham have been a reliable defensive unit and have kept clean sheets on a regular basis. However, they haven’t kept one in their last four matches and the loss of Toby Alderweireld to injury has been a major reason for this.

There are better defenders at teams outside of the top-six that are scoring more points than Vertonghen in Draft Fantasy.

A quick look at the standings throw up the names Stephen Ward, Harry Maguire and Kyle Naughton. All are offering more in the game at the time of writing.
