The final four rounds of Premier League action are upon us. Whether you’re playing in a  tight head-to-head league or even an accumulative based competition, a good run-in can tip the final standings in either way. It’s especially important to gauge the waiver market at this point to produce a desirable end of season surge.

The roster bestowed to Southampton propose an interesting as players care to browse Saints’ availability across the waiver wire. Ralph Hasenhüttl’s methods have proved bounteous of late, as the side famously defeated Manchester City 1-0; ascending the form table. Undefeated in four of their last five, the club has effectively taken themselves out of the relegation dogfight.

Their remaining fixtures present only one sizable roadblock with the dominant Manchester United at the weekend, after which however playing much less taxing opposition: Brighton, Bournemouth, and Sheffield United on the final day; comparatively have had a much worse restart than the team from Saint Mary’s.

James Ward-Prowse, Nathan Redmond, and Ryan Bertrand have performed well in their supplementary roles to Danny Ings and Stuart Armstrong; creating a fully-rounded outfit that has shown an offensive knack, as well as a prowess, keep out their opposition. If these players are available, then they are most certainly worth having for the rest of the season.

While the Saints are Marching In, the Gooners could be exiting stage left of many Draft Fantasy sides. While they are the form team in the weekend’s North London Derby, their inability to see out a victory against Leicester, gives little longevity to acquiring Arsenal players considering their match with Liverpool mid-week. Add in that Mikel Arteta can still win the FA Cup with this side, the rotation will be needed to defeat Manchester City in the semi-final; meaning the Premier League may take a back seat. Giving deliberation for Draft Fantasy managers, as to whether to bother with Arsenal players for the rest of the campaign.

That said, their final two Premier League fixtures after the FA Cup semi-final come against Aston Villa and Watford who are embroiled toward the bottom of the table, who’s been unable to muster much quality all season long. Arsenal players could work themselves back into contention for their final two matches.

The contemporary Everton squad is also worthy of consideration for the potential waiver wire user, while the eleventh-placed side hasn’t been main-event material; they’ve been steady enough for clean sheets and the odd goal since the post-lockdown resumption. Given Wolverhampton’s two consecutive defeats, Draft Fantasy managers might be monitoring players like Michael Keane, Richarlison; et al for the weekend. Add in that two of their next three games are against struggling Aston Villa and Bournemouth, the Toffees might be a dark horse for late points.

Key defenders like Charlie Taylor, Matt Ritchie, and the aforementioned Michael Keane have all shined throughout the last five games, averaging over four points per game. Burnley, Newcastle, and Everton might not be prosperous all season long but have facilitated enough recent positive results to elevate these players beyond their usual stature in Fantasy Football.
