The former Tottenham defender is regarded as one of the finest attacking full-backs in the Premier League, which was backed up by his total of six assists in the game during the 20116/17 campaign.
At the Etihad Stadium, under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, he will be given the license to roam forward and he could be a devastating player on City’s right side.
The move could be a complete success and if he develops quickly within the Spanish head coach’s system, he could become the best defensive option in the game.
That said, there are reasons to be cautious when it comes to selecting Walker in the earlier rounds of the draft.
He played a part in 14 clean sheets at Tottenham last term, as the Lilywhites boasted the best defence in the Premier League, and, given that the Manchester City defence is a much weaker unit, that number will fall this year.
There is also the small fact that he is settling into a new club and facing competition from fellow summer signing Danilo. The right-back, who has recently moved to the Etihad from Real Madrid, could be rotated with Walker.

Taking all things into consideration, Manchester United’s Antonio Valencia and Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier are both better full-back options – to name just two.
