They are a balanced team with a good defence and a devastating attack, which means that there is value across the pitch.

Mauricio Pochettino is yet to make a senior signing this summer, which means that we already know how they are likely to set up this season. Here are the three players in their squad that should be a priority on draft day:

Harry Kane

After leading the goal-scoring charts for two successive seasons, Harry Kane is going to be a hot property in Draft Fantasy Football. He is hotly tipped to repeat the achievement and that would confirm his position as one of the best strikers in the world.

Tottenham play a fluid brand of attacking football and they will always create chances. There are few better finishers in the division than Kane and he is only going to get better during the coming years.

The World Cup is next year and he will be desperate to go into the tournament in great form.

The reason that Kane is such a good option in Draft Fantasy Football is that he is a known quantity in the game and he is guaranteed to play when he is fit.

Vincent Janssen may have shown flashes of his ability in pre-season, but he is never going to start ahead of Tottenham’s number ten.

The England international will play nearly every match and he will get chances. Kane offers as much of a guarantee of goals as is possible and for that reason, he is a great first round draft pick.

Dele Alli

There are few teams that have two outstanding options as first round draft picks, but Tottenham have that.

Dele Alli has been a revelation since joining the club and he will be hoping to develop even further during the next 12 months. There isn’t another midfielder that possesses his goal threat and it isn’t beyond him to break the 20-goal mark this season.

Last season, he contributed 18 goals and seven assists, which ranked him as one of the top five players in Draft Fantasy Football.

Tottenham play a style that gives him the opportunity to shine and he makes the most of it. His decision making and movement allow him to get into goal-scoring positions. Then when he is in them, he is an ice-cool finisher.

Alli always looks to make runs in behind Kane and his shooting accuracy of 59% shows that he is a threat when he gets on the ball in the final third. He would be a great pick for your team and, like Kane, he almost guarantees your team a lot of points.

Christian Eriksen

Dele Alli may take the headlines at Spurs and rightfully so, he is only 21 and already one of the best players in the Premier League.

However, Spurs have another excellent attacking midfielder in Christian Eriksen and the Dane took his game to the next level last season. He was influencing nearly every match and his consistency was hugely improved from his previous seasons at White Hart Lane.

The former Ajax man actually finished one-place higher than Alli in Draft Fantasy Football last year and that shows why he is another option as a first round draft pick.

The 25-year-old contributed eight goals and 15 assists, which is a great return. If you were to choose between Alli and Eriksen, you would have to opt for the former, despite the qualities that the latter offers to your team.

It is safer to back a player that will score goals than one that is more of a creator.

The assist is one of the most hotly debated statistics in football and the problem with relying on a player to get assists is that it doesn’t matter how good a chance they create, they need their forwards to put the ball in the net.

That said, he remains a great choice and will rank as a top ten midfielder at the very least.
