Never doubt Dele Alli.

The Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has faced his critics this season, both from his own fans and supporters of the Lilywhite’s opponents.

However, he has responded in perfect fashion over the festive period, with a return of 34 points in his last three outings.

This fine spell of fantasy form extends from a period in which the much maligned England international has contributed six goal involvements in his last six top flight outings.

With two goals and four assists during this time, Alli has reinstated himself as a leading Draft Fantasy midfield option – where previously he may have been ignored.

Tottenham take on West Ham at Wembley on Thursday evening, in the second game of a bumper festive period double game week (the very first of the season).

Having scored 10 points thanks to his goal against Swansea, just two days previously, Alli has a chance to close the gap on the top five midfielders in the game.

Currently 16 points behind teammate Christian Eriksen (5th) and a further 12 from Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez (4th), a repeat of his most recent performances would see him thrown into contention.

Tottenham have won 19 points out of a possible 21 from their last seven league games at Wembley and they will be confident that another victory awaits with Harry Kane set to return to the starting XI.

Alli to Kane is the joint-second-highest goal combination in the Premier League this term, with the former assisting the latter on four occasions, so do not expect Alli to be far from the action.
